• Hey,

I am using the Wasabi Smart File Uploads Plugin on my WordPress site and everything is working fine.

I added the tag [ssu_upload button = “Upload to S3”] to present the upload form to my users. The upload form was displayed and I was successful in uploading files to my AWS S3 Buckets, everything was fine so far.

But, I need one more thing. I need the URL of the file that my visitor uploaded to S3 to present the image file to improve the UI experience and save that URL to my server.

Is there a way to get the URL of my visitors’ files uploaded to S3 using the ssu_upload tag?

    Thank you

  • Hi @claudiozanin,

Thanks for reaching out to us last night.

To assist you better, could you please share with us more about your use case?

    • Do your users need to log into your site to upload files?
    • How many users do you have? How many files can each user upload on average?
    • Which kind of UI experience do you want to improve? For example, displaying uploaded file URLs in the confirmation message or displaying files in the back-end based on users.

If possible, please attach some screenshots of the sample UI you want to achieve for us to check with.

By the way, may we know why you’d like to save the uploaded file URLs to your server?

In fact, you could already access them via the defined folder on your Amazon bucket.

    Hi BWPS Team,

Bellow are the answers to your questions:

Do your users need to log into your site to upload files?
No, they don′t need. All visitors (user) can upload files.

How many users do you have? How many files can each user upload on average?
I estimated in 10 visitors (user) will upload files each day. Each visitor will upload just one image file.

Which kind of UI experience do you want to improve? For example, displaying uploaded file URLs in the confirmation message or displaying files in the back-end based on users.
I′m the owner of a store for personalization products for kids. I want to launch new products where the visitors may personalize products with your photos. So I need to present the uploaded image over the product to get the confirmation of these visitors, and save the URL of this file image uploaded in S3.

I already have how to save the image URL and other information entered by the Visitors, but I don′t know how to get this information from the Wasabi Plugin.

Yes, I can to acess them via the defined folder on Amazon Bucket. But I need an way to get the URL during the user′s visit. To associate each UPLOADED image to S3 with the Product Purchased.

    Thanks

    Hi @claudiozanin,

Thanks for your detailed information. It really helps.

To assist you better, may we know:

    • Are you using any eCommerce platform to sell your products?
    • If you don’t require visitors to log into your site before uploading files, how will you know which files were uploaded by whom?

Please also help to clarify the flow that visitors will purchase your products, e.g. they’ll enter their information before uploading files.

Also, some screenshots/sample page URLs where visitors upload their files will be helpful for us to check with.

Please drop us an email to hello(at)preventdirectaccess.com so that we can discuss it faster and more easily.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
