• I have a custom post. That allows the front-end user e.g. an Artist) to add up to 4 images of their work – currently stored as meta data.
They are then displayed at the foot of the post. (not very well formatted).

How can they be be automatically assembled into a Gallery, or Slideshow? i.e. without the intervension of an editor.

  • It all depends on on how you built the custom post type and how you are rendering it on the front end. Are you using a plugin? or custom code?

    Please provide more details.

The custom post was created with Frontend Publishing Forms plugin. Which provides the front-end form for the User to enter their details and the Images. And the form settings are set so that the images are ‘Saved to Post Meta Data’, and are set to ‘Automatically display below Post Content’

The Images DO get automatically added to the Media Library.

They are rendered using a native wp “[Gallery]” – this displays all the ‘attached’ images, but it’s a very basic display. How can we display as/in a Lightbox?
