How display in columns and rows

  • My site offers a list of files for downloading and I want to display these, along with a brief description of each file, in two columns—with an article and its description to the left and another article and description to the right.

    In addition to the two columns, there would be five rows displaying a total of ten files—two columns, five rows.

    What’s the best way to do this?

  • Here is a template that works in the default theme (2.9.2) to show two columns of posts. Set the number of posts per page in Settings->Reading.

    It will have to be altered to fit your theme. It also has some CSS coded into it that should really go into your style.css file, but I wanted it all in one place for convenience.
