How do I access my WordPress page AFTER moving my hosting?

  • I made my personal home page on WordPress some time ago. My URL was purchased and registered at IP Mirror because the domain ends in .jp. I recently changed my hosting from DreamHost to Google Apps. Unfortunately I was rushed to move my hosting, so I did not have an opportunity to customise my DNS before changing my hosting. At present, I cannot even find how to login to my mcintire.jp WordPress page because I neglected to save my login address in my passcode management software.

    How can I login to my admin page? What is the most efficient way to have my URL point to my WordPress page while leaving my email on Google Apps? Shall I redirect my IP Mirror DNS to my WordPress page? If so, could you please tell me what DNS configuration to use, and where to make those changes in my IP Mirror account?

    You have contacted www.ads-software.com – this is it :). I’m a bit confused – where is your site physically located now (i.e. did you move the files and database from Dreamhost)? Where are you intending to host it? Your DNS would need to be set to wherever you plan to host the site.

    I had installed WordPress using DreamHost’s one-click installs. DreamHost one-click installs hosts the www.ads-software.com site on DreamHost. However, you have to pay DreamHost for the hosting, and when I cancelled my DreamHost hosting, my access to my www.ads-software.com files was no longer available.

    DreamHost explained to me that I had to re-host the site on DreamHost to access the site. I re-hosted the site, accessed the site, and moved the data to Google. ??

    I want to use WordPress. I realise this is a WordPress.com question on the www.ads-software.com site, but just to confirm: I can post a site at WordPress.com for free, and then set my DreamHost DNS for mcintire.jp to go to, for example, https://mcintireallen.wordpress.com, correct?
