How do I add frontpage callouts such as in Athena Theme?

    Pretty straight forward question. I have been playing around with creating a my own theme and I want to have divs that I can add text to in the CMS. If you are familiar with the Athena Theme, you will know there are static divs (not widgets) that allow you to put a title and description into the divs. I’m sure it’s a pretty simple question but I cant figure out how to do it. Thanks.
