No question is ever stupid when there is an intention to learn ??

In the free version you can either not use the dimensions to set the width ( so on both sides of the text the same amount of space is applied ).

If you want to set the width then you can play around with the padding (left) settings to put the text in the center.

Let me know if that works for you

The only problem with that is that fonts size differently on different browsers, so adjusting the padding the way I view a button in Mac Safari can be considerably different (and cause text flow issues) in PC IE.
If the ability to center a word in a button, probably the most basic feature you would want in a button program, was left out in order to get people to upgrade, while still leaving in a slew of other adjustments, this just seems a little cheesy.

    Hi,

I asked around here and to be honest we are a bit surprised as well this never made it to the free version. I’m adding it to our todo list and probably next week we’ll update with an option for align.

Thanks for stepping up on this. These things make all the difference.

As you might have ( or not have ) seen, the latest update of the plugin now has an align option.

    ??

I have the same problem as mrsnak.
All the previous buttons I created are centred OK. Since the latest update, new buttons are NOT centred when CONTAINER Select wrap is checked. It even says <div align=”center”> but it does not.
See problem with 2 buttons at https://www.mipassion.com.au/?page_id=659 last line of buttons. Your assistance would be appreciated please.
    Thank you.

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response, I didn’t notice it in a resolved topic. I looked at the page you linked and I see that the buttons are align in the center of the table cells over there, just as expected.

The text itself is being left aligned, that’s something that could have happened since the last update. For the future it’s probably better to have it aligned in the center by default so we’ll update that. In the meanwhile however you can change this in the button editor.

    Thanks for the reply.
Can you tell me how I can Centre the text in the Button editor?
In “Container”, I have set Centre Div to “on”. This used to work, but since the last upgrade, does not.
My Buttons have two Lines. How might I centre the text?
    Thanks

Update. Got it fixed thanks. Option Text Align under Text.
I feel that should return the default to Center as you suggest.

I’m happy you got it fixed. It’s good feedback for us as well, thanks for that. The new release will default to having ‘no value’ for text align so it won’t be applied until you actually select something there.
