I’m building a new blog using WP’s twenty twenty-four theme. All the images by default have a garish orange duotone wash, which I can remove manually but it’s time-consuming. When I try to disable the orange wash on the templates, it only applies to that one image.
How can I get rid of it on templates so that it doesn’t appear by default on all images?

The orange duotone wash only seems to appear in the Ember style, but I can’t work out how to change it on the templates. I could alternatively use a different style combination, but I like the Ember fonts and colours. Would there be a way to customise the other style combinations if the duotone wash on Ember cannot be changed?

    Guessing it can’t be changed.

Hi @nataliemin – it looks as though it is possible if you have the Gutenberg plugin installed (which has some additional editor features in advance of the next major WordPress release).

If you go to Plugins > Add New you can install the Gutenberg plugin from there.

Once that’s done you can edit the duotone by:

    • Opening the Site Editor (Appearance > Editor) and clicking on the preview panel on the right.
    • Clicking the button at top right with a circle split in half – this opens the styles panel.
    • Click Blocks (at the bottom of that panel) and then select ‘Image’.
    • You’ll be able to click and edit the duotone as you see here
