Hi so I have a brand new wordpress site, and the web designer put in Contact Form 7 for the “contact us” page. However when someone types in a message the font is very faint. I would like to change the font color and make it a bit larger.
Any ideas on what to do? I don’t know code but I can follow really basic instructions (ie, “eliminate the * next to” etc)…
    Thanks so much!!!

  • Same issue here. I actually didn’t realize the contact form was doing this till a customer complained. once they’ve typed in the field, the background turns white and the font is white as well so now you can’t look back unless you click back on the box and turn the background black again.
So I’d like to be able to make the background stay black once someone has added text.

The actual look of CF7 forms on your website will depend largely on the current WordPress theme used and the CSS styling that theme applies to standard HTML form elements.

To change the style of your CF7 forms you would need to edit the CSS style sheets used by your WordPress theme.

See Styling Contact Form for a general explanation of styling CF7 forms using CSS.

There is a link at the bottom of the page to a comprehensive and detailed article on Styling Contact Form 7 Forms. The article shows people, with suitable HTML & CSS skills, how to change the appearance of their Contact Form 7 Forms to meet their particular requirements.

??RE: I don’t know code but I can follow really basic instructions (ie, “eliminate the * next to” etc)…

??You could also consider using Contact Form 7 Skins which makes building & stylling Contact Form 7 Forms much easier – even if you don’t have HTML & CSS skills.
