how do I change the body of theme (not my background)

  • want to change all of the white background for content to another hex color for all pages. What code should I use and where? Thanks.

    Then I will need to change the text color to black, since the hex color I want is more of a gold color. Thank you for your help.

  • If you go into the settings, editor and choose the main theme, it is fairly well documented and the body color is pretty easy to find. I’m somewhere between a beginner and beginner=intermediate and could find it. You will then need to change the color code with the appropriate hex designation (which can be determined when you look at the custom background and play around with the colors).

    Would you mind posting how you did it LinMcHugh? I also want to change the colour of the skin to a custom hex colour.
    There is no ‘main theme’ in my editor, just main index template which doesn’t have the option.

    ok i figured it out, its in the style.css, head down to BODY – #page – and you can change the background colour from there.
