How do I change the following instructions in Step 4 of the registration:
“There is a half hour buffer between reservations that is for staff use only. Please make your reservation including your set up and clean up time.”

And does the buffer automatically get added or must the client respect this when selecting their times?

  • This is automatic. It is dependent on your settings – the time for each increment and the setup or cleanup increments you chose.

I will add an option to change those values soon. Thanks for pointing it out!

I just made an update that makes this step more generic. Hopefully it helps until I can create a method for you to edit it easily.

Not sure that helped. I presume the time slots with nothing in the status column are for staff clean up and the “Unavailable” should be where I am know seeing the “Weekly Staff Meeting”. Weekly Staff Meeting is marked not to be published so “Unavailable” would be appropriate here.

If you chose both a cleanup and setup increment, then yes, the slots before and after are for that. We have found that using only one or the other works best and we just have a cleanup set.

Staff events do not add a cleanup or setup time.

*Unavailable will also show up if a patron is trying to schedule outside of the times you specified in your settings. So, nothing is available for patrons for 2 days from today and 90 days out. These are editable in the main settings.

I expect “Unavailable” to show up when you are outside of the 2 and 90 days, but why is “Weekly Staff Meeting” showing as this is hidden, surely it should say “Unavailable” here too?

Is the weekly staff meeting marked as internal/do not publish?

It is marked as internal and shows as such when I go to “Edit Event”. Interestingly, if I go to any “Edit Instance” the box is greyed out and does not look to be checked.

Av event is a single date. Instances only appear if you have multiple dates.

Yes I know. But if I create an event marked as hidden which reoccurs should not all the instances be marked as hidden too? Otherwise I will need to edit each instance, which I can’t because it is grey out on the edit screen.

When you create an event, it creates a “event” record with the main info and then “date” records with instance info. Instances with multiple dates share the same main content from the original ticket. Since the “internal/do not publish” is part of the main ticket, you can’t edit that in single instances. The Edit Event changes the event information while edit instance will only change that instance’s time or room (in case you have to move it).
