How do I change the home page side layout?

  • Hi,

    I’m brand new to WordPress so please bear with me. ??

    On the default page, the side has all kinds of links for Pages, Categories, Blogroll, etc.

    Where do I go to get rid of or alter those? And is it possible to move them from one side to the other?

    Actually upon further investigation it looks like the theme I have is a 3 column theme but I think I only want it to be 2 columns. Is that something I can change along with possibly moving the column to the other side?

  • Have you tried adding any widgets to your sidebar via Appearance -> Widgets. what you are seeing is probably the theme’s default sidebar content which be will replaced by any widgets you add.

    If you want a 2 column theme, I strongly advise that you look for a new 2 column theme.
