  • Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

yes, this is what i understood, your theme uses Cufon font, i just do not know how it is linked to the CSS… can you check if you have a font plugin in your plugins folder or can you check if you have this kind of extension via your dashboard…

if you have, you should check if this plugin has a css file or not… if yes, you should check if you find the hover code…

Thanks, that helps me get deeper into the code. But I’m new in this, a bandmember with some previous HTML knowlegde taking over from the creator of our site, so I don’t have a clue where to begin searching for this amongst all this code. So I’m afraid I need a more specific answer.

go to your server, go to wp-content folder, go to plugins folder, there look for a folder which is about fonts (Cufon for exemple)…

or you go to your WP dashboard : https://www.yrsite.com/wp-admin/, connect yourself, at the left sidebar, you have an option : Extensions… click on it and look for a plugin which is about fonts…

tell me if you found something

My cufon-font folder is empty. There is another folder in wp-content: “fonts”. In that folder there are two font types in extension: “*.font.js” “bebas_400.js” and “BebasNeue400.font.js

When I use my dashboard I can’t find the “Extensions” button, when I look into Plug-ins there also isn’t a font plug-in installed.

Hehe, no, thoses files are not font types, those are javascript files ??

I understood i guess what happens… your theme uses fonts which are outsider fonts (in the case of the menu items for example), so your system can integrate them only in changing fronts to images. If you put your mouse on a menu item, you click right, you can visualise it as an image (for example the “HOME”.

I had the same problem yersterday, i used javascript to integrate my own outsider fonts but it changes the fonts to images and i could not handle the hover color…

Start by validating your site — you have a bunch of errors that are affecting the entire page — including the menus — improperly code “a” tags — so that’s why the CSS is not working. Also, you can’t have html code above the doctype — so you need to fix that.
