How do I change the page my blog lands on?

  • Hello all! When people go to my URL, I would like them to go to a welcome page instead of the main blog page. I really don’t know anything about PHP, but I am assuming this is a simple fix? Where do I go to fix it and what do I need to change? Thank you!!!

  • settings->reading set a static front page

    You will need to set up the welcome page through normal Wp menu, add page

    You will also need to create a page for your posts, like Blog or something

    After the pages are created, go to settings->reading

    set welcome page as front page, and blog page as your posts page

    Thank you, that worked! is there a way to make it so, say for instance, under “Blogs” in the navigation up top, under the logo, it will lists the categories if they want to look at categories and/or subject?
