• I have a page created in HTML that I want to be the first thing people see when they visit my site. It can’t be implemented into a WordPress page. Any ideas?

  • Just create new page. Take html writing type.
Paste your html code into editor. Save

Go to setting->Reading. at Frontpage display, use static page. Choose your saved page name. save

    Just like that.

No, it’s not just like that. My page can’t work as a standalone WordPress page. It’s a page with HTML code and that only — with no header, sidebar, etc. that you’d find in a regular blog page.

Nevermind, I figured it out on my own.

Would you like to show some netiquette and share your solution so people who need help in the future will also know how you did it, and then mark this thread resolved? That would be he proper thing to do here.

    Ah…

    Make a Page Template.
    Put your code in there.
Make a Page in WordPress using that Page Template.
Assign it to the front page.
    Done.
