How do I create a standalone landing page?

I want to create a standalone landing page without any navigation–including a Home button–but I’d like to use a Home page layout. So put another way, this would look like a home page, sans navigation, but the page would be part of a larger site, that would have a separate Home page. What’s the best way to do this?
