How Do I create a “Write Post”Template
-
Hello. I’m new to WordPress. I’ve searched for an answer to this for weeks and can’t find it. Either its obvious and I’m daft, or this isn’t supported in WordPress.
If you look at one of my blogs (Video Game Law Blog) here:
https://www.daledietrich.com/gaming/
you’ll see that I format all my posts the same. I have an image, a text area, a “Dale’s Comment” section followed by a “Sources” list. There are a few other optional fields I use.
I don’t want to recreate the wheel every time I write a post. I would like it for each time I go to write a post, the edit field is pre-populated with the post template I use. Is there any way to do this or any plugin I can use?
I’m currently have my post template kept in a static “Page” in WordPress that isn’t linked into my site. Every time I set out to write a new post, I go to that template page, copy its content and past it into the Write Post tab. It’s a pain in the butt to have to do this EVERY time. If my “Write Post” page could automatically be pre-populated with my template, this would save me an awful lot of time.
Thanks.
…Dale
