How do I delete an account

    I just opened a new account, but WordPress keeps remembering an old account. I want to get rid of the old account / profile. But I don’t see how to do it. So I’m looking for a way for me to log in to the old account with an old unloved blog, that I’m abandoning, and then delete it, hopefully with any cookies associated with it.

    Yes, I opened up an account a long time ago, and had a WordPress blog, but I abandoned it. I opened a new account with anticipation of starting new blog. Now I can’t get WordPress to let me log in with new account (except to this one page: https://www.ads-software.com/support/).

    When I try to use my new log in anywhere else on the page, I am told it doesn’t recognize me. I don’t know what to do. Do I give up on my new registration, or just ignore the old registration.

    It seems to me I would be happiest deleting the old registration, which is tied to my email address (that has remained constant).

    Thanks, but not apropos to my question. I am only talking about WordPress site. I am only talking about www.ads-software.com.

    Are you suggesting there is a different log in for www.ads-software.com and wordpress.com???

    My question is this… can one delete one’s WordPress account? If so, how do you do that? I have two logins for two different names/identities. Can someone tell me how to get rid of the original one I had created four years ago?

    In other words, how do I delete an older superceded WordPress account?

    Yes. They are completely different and separate sites. If you are referring to an old wordpress.com account or blog, please try asking on https://en.forums.wordpress.com/ These forums are for self-hosted WordPress sites only.
