    Hello,
Today I noticed that, in my custom field post section, someone had entered an incredibly long value that was being remembered in the drop down menu. This would all be normal and fine except the sheer length of the value was throwing off my form tables to the point where the Custom Field section is unusable.
So, I am wondering if you can tell me where the meta data for the “previous custom fields” is stored and how I might reset or delete it to remove this problem entry.

    Thanks!

(Note: I have deactivated all plugins and am running the latest version of wordpres.)

It’s probably meta data for some other post.

Find that post and remove the custom value there.

If you know how to look in the DB, look for it in the postmeta table. That will tell you the ID of the post that it’s on.

Alright I will try to hunt down that post and report back here. Thanks!

Wow man. Nailed it. I found the post and once I deleted it the bloated entry went away. Easy fix. Thanks!

Thanx a lot. I had the same issue! Fixed it now too.
