How do I stop large images being generated?

  • Hi,
    I was just wondering if it is possible to stop the large versions of images from being uploaded? I have a travel blog using version 2.7.1, and use theme inove.

    In the settings section I can find a way to set the size of the various image sizes, but was wondering if there is a way to stop the large images being created? Just that I can’t see that my theme uses them – it creates the medium and small images as I want them for the blog, and uploads the image I upload raw – without resizing etc.

    The image page shows the medium, then links to the raw image, but never uses the large image so it’s just wasting space on my server – and in some cases the large image is resized to a much larger file size than the raw image!

    Does anybody know how to fix this without just manually deleting the large images after they have been uploaded? That could be a pain – and if I’m updating while travelling and don’t have server access this would be hard to do anyway.
