    Hi Carol,

That’s an interesting feature request, but unfortunately it’s not possible at this time. We’ll look in to adding it in next week’s update.

I noticed that also applies to the password entry in registration, but password editing does not appear in profile. How does that entry go about? I was wondering if that function would be similar to disabling entry editing for my DOB and Gender in profile editing, but appears in registration.

    Hi Carol,

Passwords and usernames are special cases, because they’re stored in a different table. There’s a separate shortcode for editing them.

Can DOB and Gender entries also be stored in separate table?

…or can I at least have those entries not appear in profile editing page?

    Hi Carol,

We’re going to add an attribute to the [edit-profile] shortcode to allow admins to omit some fields from the “Edit Profile” page when we release the next version later this week.

Okay, thank you very much ^o^

    Hi guys,
I’m looking forward to seeing this feature implemented. I’d also “vote” for some sort of hidden fields, that are not visible to the user. This way I could give users pre-filled user profiles there they are not able to change some fields.

    Hi Carol,

The update to disable certain fields in the “Edit Profile” form has been released. You can add the attribute “omit_fields” to leave fields out of your form now:

    `[edit-profile omit_fields=’First Name,Last Name’]

Thank you, I omitted the fields, Is there a page where you display the entire user profile, not for editing, but text only?

There seems to be the problem with omit_fields. If I omit several fields and user edits her profile then omitted fields are just saved as blank.

    Hi,

Carol, there’s no way to display a user’s entire profile as text only. Interesting feature request though.

Nikita, please let me know if that’s still the case after the update this evening (version 1.12).
