How Do I Edit the HTML in Widgets, Featured Gallery

  • I just bought this blog writing-freelance.com. I am very confused about all of this, but my main confusion is…I have all these widgets from Amazon and Clickbank and I want to change the hoplinks so that I get paid for any of the sales. Currently, the other guy’s code is still in there. When I clicked on Widgets, he told me to click the dropdown arrow and all the code would be in there and all I would have to do is put in the new hoplink. Well, when I go to appearance and click on widgets and click the dropdown arrow, there is nothing but a blank box saying text, but no text. I want to know how to edit the code that goes with these widgets and also in the featured gallery. Can someone please help me?

  • You may need to login to Amazon and Clickbank to make changes to the site’s account for these widgets. The widgets in Admin/Appearance/Widgets have nothing to do with either Amazon or Clickbank. You could however check what widgets are appearing on your site’s sidebar and edit these if necessary.

    Yes, I know I can copy and paste new code in, but isn’t there a place I can see all these sections in html code only? I found where to click on to find the code for adding the widgets, but not sure about editing the featured gallery. I like working in code, it seems so much easier to me, I am new to this type of WP blog, so please bear with me as I get to know it. I appreciate your help.
