How do I edit the landing/home page and not page=19?

Hi! I’m completely new to this and have been learning by doing. I’m trying to create a fairly static landing page with a few widgets – no blog or anything like that. It’s going to be a site for a band.

I’m using the music club theme and have a page that I’d like to use as the landing page, but don’t know how to set it as such. I also can’t find a way to directly add content to the main site URL. I’m sure it’s something stupid, but how do I set a page’s permalink to be the main site’s URL? I don’t want people to have to type in https://www.russdorseymusic.com/?page_id=19, I just want them to type the main URL.

I have a guess as to what’s going on, but I don’t know how to correct it. Thanks!
