The editor defaults to index.php in base directory of your blog.

To edit the theme you need to edit files in the /wp-content/themes/xx folder where xx is the folder containing the theme you want to edit.

You can specify the file you want in the input box below the file editor in wp but I find it easier to copy the theme files locally, edit and ftp back to server.

    Hope this helps

    What!

Maybe I’m missing something…but. I see your using WP 1.5. If you need to edit a theme you should go to your dashboard click “Presentation” then “Theme editor.”

The first file normally on display is the CSS file. Along the right side are all the other template files for that theme.
