How do I get a variable product to add shipping?

  • I asked on the WP forum and they said to ask you. I have a variable product that refuses to charge shipping. I have tried setting it in the parent and not in the variations, setting the shipping flat rate category in the variations and not in the parent, and setting the shipping in both. It will not charge shipping. All the non-variable products charge it as they should.

    I should add that all the other products charge shipping. I use a flat rate class system that goes by weight.

    Resolved. I had extra boxes checked off, by default and I had to uncheck them and the shipping works.
