How do I get Avenir font on my wordpress site?

A little background about the font first up…

Is it a freely available / open source font? Or is it a commercial font?

If it is a commercial font, do you own it?

You’ll need to get a copy from them and then follow instructions on how to add it to your theme

Thank you both for your response! I do own the font! I just was unsure how to convert the font I have on my computer to make it work with my wordpress site. I’m also open to using a font that is similar to Avenir LT W01 35 Light (if anyone knows of one).

When it comes to fonts, you need to buy webfonts that have been specially marketed as such. Fonts are copyrighted and so just because you own a copy, doesn’t mean you can share it with everyone, kind of like books and movies.

I think that google fonts are a great place to get some nice looking fonts. Take a look at Open Sans.

The best match google web font is actually NUNITO. Example font comparison: https://joelcrawfordsmith.com/new/font/avenir Its almost a clone. And most importantly (to my persnickety client) the sentences track the same length.
