How do I get "discussions" off my static page?

  • I went to that page, clicked “edit”; then at top right corner I clicked “screen options”. I saw the word “discussions” and it was NOT checked.

    I don’t want any discussions taking place on this static page, yet the option keeps showing up on that page at the bottom of my texts.

  • Edit the Page and uncheck “Allow comments” in each case. If you do not see this pane, click Screen Options at the very top of the page and check “Discussion”.
