I saw a post that said to log out of admin. I did that and logged in as a visitor and the visitors can hit “edit” and go directly into my wp-admin. I am getting this on both sites I am launching. Please help, I am wasting so much time…

OK, to clarify, I am not talking about the edit capabilities for posts when I am in wp-admin. Once I publish, the post shows an ‘edit’ link that is visible and active to visitors. You will see what I mean at https://www.agingyoungernow.com

Any visitor can enter my wp-admin and have at it.
    Thanks.

Try clearing your browser’s cache, or check in another browser. Entrance to the admin panel requires a password or a cookie, even if the edit link is plainly visible.

Also, I don’t see any edit links on your blog.

Thanks! I FINALLY don’t see them either. I am in Firefox. I went to IE and didn’t see them so I cleared progressively more from my recent history in Firefox. You are great. Now I can go to sleep.

Hey, first, that’s a great gravatar and second, how often am I supposed to do that clearing? Am I supposed to clear everything. I checked online and it looks like some might wantto clear everytime they shut down. What is the cost to me if i do that? Looks like I loose my history which I often rely on to hep me find something. Sorry to bother you. Thanks for all the help.

With most browsers, hitting Ctrl + F5 instead of the usual F5 will refresh the page including cache.

    That won’t delete your history.

I always clear just my browser’s cache whenever I close it. It’s actually one of those do-it-without-thinking habits that I developed during the Netscape Navigator days.
