How do I have more then one blog?

I am so sorry, I do not quit understand the difference between the same domain and a sub-directory. I do know that each blog will have different domain names but using the same host. ie.
1. https://www.xpectmorebizsolutions.com (already live)
2. https://www.xpectmoreautomotive.com (new one)

I just did separate accounts and separate usernames for each. I hope I do not get kicked off of here.
