How do I install? Noob Problem

  • I’m completely new to the website business and need some help on installation. I have no idea what I am doing with this. I downloaded the latest version of WordPress, i used winrar to unzip, and am stuck there. I dont quite understand where I go from here. Could someone break it down for me in noob terms? I downloaded FileZilla and MySQL, I just have no idea what to do now. Any help please?

    Indeed I have, yet I’m still confused with the terms. I believe Filezilla is my FTP server and client. I have Notepad as a text editor, and I’m not sure what MySQL does, but it says it is needed. Once I get to about step 2 on the instructions, I’m completely lost. How am I to create a database? I’m just utterly confused.

    Which web hosting company are you using?

    wordpress.com is different from www.ads-software.com. If you want a free website then go to .com. If you have an account with a web hosting company then you need .org
