Hello. I’m not 100% sure if EWWW is working. I believe when I inspect and see jpg’s “TYPE” as webp it is a confirmation it is working. Would be nice to see something in the plugin that lets me know the status.

    I see this: https://ibb.co/n348mbR

So I’m assuming Background optimization (faster uploads): Enabled – means it’s optimizing in the background. How do I know when the uploads are done?

    Thanks

If you have 100% in the plugin score, that would mean you are using our Easy IO CDN and that things are working… the problem with putting a little light that says ‘this is working” is that how do you know that the light is working properly? You can get stuck in a loop of “is it working” with this. However, you can inspect any image on your site and should see the CDN URL.

The background optimization means that anytime you upload an image, it optimizes it in the background which can speed up your upload process, however, we’re talking a matter of seconds (if that), so if the image is in your media library, it is optimized locally.

I should mention though that the local optimization, when using the CDN, is a bit redundant as the CDN is automatically optimizing copies of your images when your site is viewed. Locally optimizing your images can save you space, but those images aren’t touched when using the CDN.
