How do I know if this plugin is working?

    Hey,

    This may be a silly question as i’ve only used Yoast prior to The SEO Framework, but I am just curious how I can track whether or not this plugin is improving SEO on my sites? I have had it installed for a couple of months now and just unsure of what to look for in regard to results. Thanks for any help!

    Hello!

    When you sign up with Google Search Console, you can see how many clicks you’re getting via Google Search. Google Search Console also informs you of invalid markup data, site performance, ranking, coverage, and many other details.

    When TSF is working as intended, the coverage should not spike much above the number of pages and archives you have. Moreover, TSF shouldn’t hamper the “performance” results–that is the amount of exposure your website gets and the number of clicks it receives. Other plugins and the theme may (also) cause markup errors (if any).

    If your website is in a demanding niche, then you should see active growth. If you’re competing against giants, then I wish you good luck.

    Keep in mind that the quality of the content and the usability of the website are the most crucial ranking factors. An SEO plugin is not a free ticket to the top–otherwise, millions of sites would be ranking in the top 10.
