• Yes I created a WP social media page and I want to make the site to where people can login and post new things, not just leave a comment. The site is https://www.kdsocial.com. Is there a setting or a plugin for that that I need to change, fix or add?

    Thanks

    Don

Posting again so I can be notified

    Don,

https://www.kdsocial.com/wp-admin/options-general.php and make sure the box is ticked to allow Users to Register.

    Membership Membership Anyone can register

Then you want to set a ‘permission level’ for the Newly Registered Users

    ranging from Subscriber, Contributor, Author, Editor and Andministrator;

to allow the Users the chosen default level of permission.

you should be able to go to https://www.kdsocial.com/wp-admin/users.php

To monitor the Registered Users also –

Don’t forget to go to the Bottom of the Page and “Save Changes” button before exiting.

    Thank you!!

    You’re Welcome!

I would also strongly recommend that you register for the Akismet Plugin for your site, and the WP-SpamShield Plugin, and you should not have any problems with SPAM.

P.S. the WP-SpamShield plugin does not work on Multi-User WordPress Network sites, as far as I know.
(Those are WordPress sites that are set up to allow Users to Register and Create their own WordPress Site(s) as a sub-site of your Main site.)

    All the Best

    Don’t forget to “Save Changes”

@exchange Thanks for recommending WP-SpamShield! ?? Just to give you a heads up, it actually does work on multisite. It just needs to be activated per site, not network activated.

@exchange and @blackhawk362016: Let us know if we can be of any help. ??
