how do i link a gallery thumbnail to an external url

Hi Sage, I’m using the File Gallery plugin at the moment. I’ve been searching around the web and found this hack for the NextGen plugin. I’m trying to set up a gallery for paintings and would like to give each painting in its own page plus the possibility to zoom in on the painting.
Just seems that giving thumbnails the possibility to link to an external url would be a basic feature in a gallery plugin, it doesn’t seem so complicated but I can’t find a plugin that has it.

In each page, you could insert the single image using the NextGen Gallery shortcodes which will create a thumbnail.

Hi Sage thought maybe this would be of interest to you. I found a simple and elegant solution to linking thumbnails to urls that works.
