How do i make my custom post type through GD Custom plugin post to front page

  • I have weekly updates, and i have random updates that are not part of the main “updates” so i made a custom post type for Updates so my main weekly updates can be posted in there and nicely organized, im using GD Custom Posts and Taxonomies Plugin for this, in the settings for my Updates post type, there is a drop down box, which i select, Rewrite With Front, which I assumed meant, the “posts” within the “Updates” post type will be the only “posts” which show up on the front page, but im doing something wrong..

    Im trying to get only the posts which are posted in the custom post type “Updates” to be displayed on the main home page / front page.

    I dont “need” the word updates to be in the url’s, id like to be able to choose to do that or not, but at this time its not my concern…

    Any ideas?
