How do I make my plugin show it needs to be updated?

  • I am just finishing up my first wordpress plugin and will soon upload it to wordpress’ plugins directory.

    Is there anything special code I need to have my plugin display when it needs to be updated on the admin plugins page of the user’s wordpress?

    What must I do so people will know when updates are available?
