how do i make my whole blog private

Don’t publish it.

Depends on what level of privacy you are looking for. A selected group of people or just yourself.

There are several plugins available on WP Plugins for your purpose. (If you are to read the blog yourself only, you can also use .htaccess & .htpasswd for Apache or the equivalent for other web server softwares to limit access.)

what u mean dont publish it lol and i dont want anyone to view it as of yet so i need to block all from viewing it period…..i saw where u can block viewers from seeing posts but thats it

I mean don’t publish the entries. You can make the entries, and save them as “unpublished” so you can see them, but no one else can. When you want others to see the posts – then change their settings to published.

If you don’t want them to view the pages either, change their status to “unpublished” also.
That way you can work on them – but no one can see them until you “publish” them.

ahhhhh ok well for now ive password protected the whole site using my cpanel till i get things done thank you i found some usefull plugins on the above site
