How do I make the pictures lie next to each other?

Try adding the following style rule to your website’s CSS file:

.rsg_item {float:left;margin:0 10px 10px 0;padding:0;}

@jimwelch hey could you give me some advice – I have done what you said and added that to my website’s CSS file, but for some reason it is not falling within the widget: see the photo attached –

this means i can’t put any widgets below this one.
