• Hello

I have got a narrow Poll Daddy poll and a 120 x 600 advertisement that are nearly exactly the same size that I want to be side by side on my sidebar. I’m using the Max Magazine theme (I just changed over from Mystique). At the moment, I’m still in the process of making my site suit the theme and I’ve looked at many support pages and forum topics, but I can’t seem to find a bit of code or any solution to this that works. Any help would be much appreciated. ??

  • This theme can have one or two columns…that means with or without one sidebar…your best bet is a theme that can have more columns, multiple sidebars…

That said, you can add sidebars, custom widgets areas…

Yeah. I know. But I only want two tall, skinney widgets on my right sidebar to be side by side. I want all my other widgets to be full size. In my old theme (Mystique), there was widget called “Column Splitter” that was included with the theme. Back then, I didn’t need that widget, but now I do and it’s not included. :S

You can put two elements side by side by using the “float” attribute in the CSS for the element. Since you have a maintenance mode page up, it’s not possible to be very specific to your site.

    See https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_float.asp

WPyogi: Sorry about the Maintainence Page -it’s still a work in progress! ?? I’ll try and see with the CSS float attribute will work or not. Thanks. ??

Just tried out some of the code that is provided on that page and it doesn’t really work. I’m using one HTML Text widget to insert my Poll Daddy poll and another Text widget for my ad. The CSS code doesn’t work in the HTML text widget -is there a bit of HTML that is equivalent to the CSS code provided?

Hello! My website is https://daphnebenosa.com and I’m having trouble putting my widgets side-by-side.

I want my two widgets under Affiliates go side-by-side, as well as the Bloglovin-Tumblr widgets under Follow Me.

I don’t know anything about CSS so I use a CSS custom plug in whenever I need to change anything. Please help. Thank you!
