How do I point a domain on one server to a WP site on another server?

  • I have a client who has a domain and site hosted with Hosting Company A. I built her a new WordPress site with a new domain and hosting with Company B. The WP installation is in a non-root directory on Company B’s site.

    So my question is how do I use htaccess on Hosting Company A server to point the current domain to the new site on Hosting Company B’s server?
