    Hello,
I am fairly new to WordPress. The website I created is not a blog website. I am receiving guestbook entries and cannot figure out where or how to prevent anyone from making an entry. I have everything that I can find removed that enables a person from making a post.

When I get these they are found within the comment part, I just reciieve an email.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks

  • When I go to your blog, I see “Comments (0)”, click on it, and get this: https://jds-productions.com/blog/?p=141#respond

What I’ve done (on my website I have no use for comments either) is just delete the functionality to post comments altogether – just go into your page template(s).

Appearance > Editor > whatever your page template is called

Look for a bunch of stuff that will show comments if there are any – just delete that and you should be good!

Thanks for the response. Sorry, I didn’t think to say that there is an actually website blog tied to this website when you click the navigation link JDS blog. That is a whole another website, not the one that I am getting the guestbook entries from. The main website does not have a blog due to the other one is used for that only.

Thanks I will look and see if I can find the php page that contains the comments info.

Ah! I did a google search and a search on you site … I don’t see how people are doing that!

You could try installing a plugin called Audit Trail and manually determining which page(s) people are accessing to send the comment?

I am not sure how they are doing it either. I do not have it set up anywhere to accept comments. I have gone through everything on the admin & I don’t think I missed anything on it. Thanks I will look for that plugin & see if I can figure it out.
