Hmmm….I thought I was posting this to the WP Staging plugin site. Sorry!

So, does anyone know the answer to my question?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

at first i am happy that wp staging is working for you. At the moment its not possible to copy your changes back automatically, depending on the changes you did, its very easy or a little bit more complex:

    Changes in css files:
Copy the css files via ftp from the staging site to the live site.

    Installation of new plugins:
You have to repeat the steps of installation on your live site

    Updating of plugins:
You have to repeat the steps of updating on your live site

    Manual changes to plugins:
You have to copy the changes via ftp or you have to make the changes manually on the live site

    Changes to theme settings
Uou have to repeat the theme settings on your live site because theme settings are written into the database and cannot transferred without copying the database.

    Changes to plugin settings

I hope this helps a little bit.

I’d appreciate it if you like to rate WP Staging:

Okay, thanks. I guess that’s the next thing for you to work on! ??

We already have plans for this:-)

Yep, pushing the staging to live (after developments) is the final jewel in the crown. Do that and you’re using one of the best features of wp-engine (hosting company)
