How do I pull fields from URL into a Page?

The query string is stored in the $_GET global variable. Access them like so.

if (isset( $_GET['name'] )
     $name = $_GET['name'];

echo $name;

I should make a small change

if (isset( $_GET['name'] )
     $name = $_GET['name'];
else
     $name = "";

echo $name;

Even better, just to be safe. Although it seems to be missing a close to the second parentheses. I changed it to this:

if (isset( $_GET['name'] ))
     $name = $_GET['name'];
else
     $name = "";

echo $name;
