How do I remove "comment" word from meta?

  • Hi I am looking to remove the word comment (for 1) and the word comments for more than 1 on my post meta when on blog index page and archive pages and replace it with just a fontawesome icon and have the number next to the icon.

    Please help!

    Looked in the twentysixteen template-tags but doesnt do anything to this.
