• Need some help. am a quick learner and new to WordPress.

Have set-up a WordPress blog. Not published it yet as it’s not ready.
    Using theme: Madeini
    Child theme of Twenty Fourteen.

The problem is that on the top primary menu the active menu item always shown in green text and so far nothing has worked to change this to another colour. The theme’s search bar is also green.

Have installed Simple Custom CSS plug-in and tried a few CSS suggestions and so far nothing has worked. When I noticed the CSS didn’t work I removed what was tried.

As this is a very new project very little has changed. No CSS edited. colours changed using colour change menus on the dashboard.

I ma guessing I need to add custom CSS to the site and I need to learn CSS. ??

Can someone please help me with this?
