How do I remove text in a search widget?

  • I have been using the search widget for ages without trouble but now I’ve reuploaded 3.0.1 the search wdiget appears strangely. It is showing 2 lines of text that I can’t see/edit in the adnministration area – one is the title (ie it shows as the title and as text under the title) and the other is “this is the search form”. It looks really silly.

    Any idea how I get rid of it? I have deleted the widget and added it again without any difference.

    Just in case anyone else ever has the same issue, I fixed it by removing the additinal text from wp-content/themes/{name of theme}/searchform.php
