How do I remove the avatar spacing in comments?

I have a blog and I want to tidy up the comments section by removing the spacing where the avatars would be but I don’t know where to edit the code. I’ve tried googling but nothing has worked. Help, I’m an absolute beginner with limited knowledge of coding. ??
