• I’m a newbie and I’m trying to learn this stuff on my own. I’ve run into some trouble. I can’t seem to figure out how to remove the categories from showing at the top of the website (underneath the header image). I don’t want them to be displayed there because they’re already in the sidebars.

I know to change it it has something to do w/ excluding pages from the top bar, and I bet I do that somewhere in the editor, but I don’t know where.

My site is https://www.ondinequinn.net so that you can see what I’m talking about.

    Thanks!

  • Open your header.php file in themes folder.

You will find wp_list_categories or something like this. Remove that function and save the file

Hmmm… I’m not seeing that. This is what the txt file says:

    > ‘; } else { echo ”; } ?>
    ? Logged in as:
    ? Control Panel
    ? = 1 ) { ?>
    ? Write
    ? Profile
    ?

    ? Home
    ?
    ? Subscribe
    ? ‘.date(‘l, F d Y’).”; } ?>

ok wait, I think I figured out what you mean, but what happened is that the categories were removed on the dark upper bar (next to home). I want to remove all of those little sub categories. What do I need to delete and where is it?

    Thank you for your patience.
