• I just finished working on an upgrade to the newest version of magazine basic. I didn’t notice but client told me that there’s a label ‘uncategorized’ on top of every post. I checked all the files where I could expect references to ‘categories’ but couldn’t find any. any idea of how to remove the ‘uncategorized’ from showing on posts? any assistance will be appreciated. thanks. souleye

  • Usually, this would be remedied by creating post categories, then editing the posts to add them to the appropriate category.

That said, you can completely remove the category from the front page of Magazine Basic here:

Dashboard > Theme Options > Front Page > un-check the box that says: “Display Categories”

You can remove categories on single pages in Magazine Basic here:

Dashboard > Theme Options > Layout > un-check the box that says: “Display Categories on inner pages”
