How do I remove unwanted words in the header

  • Hi,

    1. The header of this page has additional words and symbols “Category: <span>” attached to the front of the title and “</span>” appended to the end. How can I remove these unwanted words and symbols?
    2. The header photo for all the trips under Trip is the same, i.e., a Bahama beach. Where can I set it to a photo of my choosing appropriate for each of the different trips? I thought it was in Customize/Blog/Blog Header, but it does not allow me to have a different feature photo for different trips.

  • Hi, a few things to check
    1) If you have a staging server can you switch your theme to something like the twenty twenty four theme to see if those spans are caused by the theme. Also check if you have cut and paste that content from another source (sometimes html gets carried over).
    2) I suspect the photo is coming from your categories – if you go to posts/categories you should see a place where you can choose a different photo for each individual category.

    Thanks for taking the time to advise.

    Sounds complicated. 1) If it involves changing the code, it will be beyond me because I just write blogs. In this case, do I need to hire a designer to change the code, or at least look for the bug? 2) I think you are right. The menu actually displays a category. I have been trying to play with it but so far still unsuccessful. Will look for help.
