Hello. Are you referring to the link to the WordPress theme ColorMag? Here it is: https://www.ads-software.com/themes/colormag/
    I use a free theme.

Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us and apologize for the inconvenience. Upon checking your concern and both URLs, we found that they work fine. If you don’t want to use ?amp=1 on your website, you can disable the “Change End Point to ? amp” option in Amp advance settings. If any issues occur, you can deactivate and reactivate the plugin, keeping the structure “/amp/” without using that option.

    Hello.

I have provided plugin configuration files, screenshots and video, where it is clearly visible that this function is OFF! The “Change End Point to ? amp” function has NOT been and is NOT being used by me. This is exactly what my very first message was about. The problem is that even now you can see how the site opens with both /?amp=1 and /amp/ at the end.
For example, in the plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/amp/ when you select in the settings of the type of links /amp/, it will be impossible to open the site by a link like /?amp=1. There will simply redirect back to /amp/

In your plugin, one and the same page can be opened at different addresses, the redirect does not occur. As a consequence, what we see happened.

To me, this is a serious problem, because the plugin AMP for WP – Accelerated Mobile Pages does nothing to prevent duplicate pages. This bug can create duplicate pages and create a number of troubles and problems for both resource owners and visitors.

It’s a pity that you don’t see the problem and think that everything is working correctly. I don’t even know how to explain the problem more clearly and precisely.

Hi, I appreciate your patience and the detailed information you’ve provided regarding the plugin’s configuration issue. You’ve shown that the “Change End Point to ?amp” function is turned off, yet you’re seeing URLs with both “/?amp=1” and “/amp/” endings.

Let me explain this behaviour. The “?amp=1” inclusion in URLs is the default structure for new plugin installations. This is intentional and recommended for a few key reasons.Firstly, it’s designed to prevent conflicts with existing rewrite rules on your website. By using “?amp=1,” we minimize the chances of clashes with other URL formats, which could lead to unexpected errors or redirection issues. Additionally, this default structure helps avoid 404 errors when AMP is deactivated. If you choose to turn off the AMP feature, URLs in the “?amp=1” format won’t result in broken links or error messages. This ensures a smoother experience for site owners and visitors. Please refer to this document for a better understanding: https://amp-wp.org/documentation/getting-started/paired-url-structures/
